Story

[Tokyo, 1998] Meiko Takayashi, an 8 year old girl, returns home with her father and finds her mother, Haruka, dead on their living room floor with a gun in her hand. The police closes the case by labelling it a suicide. Soon after the death, Mr.Takayashi takes his daughter away from her home and from her best friend, Kenshi Tsuno. They travel all the way to America in New York and Mr.Takayashi abandons his daughter in an orphanage.

[Present, 10 Years Later] Meiko comes back to her native country in hope to find out about her mother's death. Suicide or murder? That's what she will try to find out by enrolling at TISS, a famous school for students who want to work in the investigatig field.

Finally back in Tokyo, she meets again with Kenshi and his family. She makes new friends, but enemies as well who seem to be looking for an object Meiko posess. There is also that gang of 4 intriguing guys: Casey, Koji, Kyosuke and Tamotsu, who appear to be working for a detective and who also seem to know about that object. Because of it, they will try to protect Meiko to the cost of their lives.

With her school life in TISS, Meiko tries to find out about her mother's death, to deal with her enemies, the mystery that circles those 4 guys...

...and the angel that appears to only her.
